Tuition Reminder
October Tuition is due and posted on the Parent Portal.
Tuition is an annual fee divided into 10 monthly payments. Tuition is due the 1st of the month and courtesy is given to the 10th of the month. Payment is made on our parent portal. Access to the parent portal can be found on our website at www.DancExplosionArts.com under the Online Parent Portal tab.

INTRO & PRE DANCE Students are invited to wear Movement Appropriate Halloween Costumes throughout the week of Halloween!
Costume Deposit Information
Planning for our 2026 Student production is under way! Mark your calendars for the DEAC IN HOUSE Costume Rehearsal Week June 8-11 during regularly scheduled classes and Tech Rehearsal June 17 & 18, Showcase Events on June 19 (evening) and June 20 (matinee & early evening) at the Masonic Center.
Costume selection for the dance studio has begun & orders are placed in mid-October. Securing our garment selection and ensuring early arrival of the garments is our TOP Priority. DEAC orders early to prevent any disruption in our process & the risk of backordered items.
We are aware that colleagues in our business have been charged additional tariff costs. We are still information gathering as these charges are not the same from company to company.
Participation in the annual production is optional but highly suggested. The work & growth of each student is highlighted and polished to share with our families & friends.
Costume Deposit #1 is due to October 13.
Costume Deposit Billing will be available on the Parent Portal on October 5th.
As a reminder, 5th of the Month auto debits DO NOT INCLUDE Costume Payments. Parents must log on to complete the costume payment process.
There are no refunds on costume deposits after November 9: NO EXCEPTIONS.
Costumes will only be ordered for students who have paid the deposit and do not have delinquent tuition accounts.
- Intro to Dance, Pre-Dance, & Level 1A Combo à1 costume: $40 deposit
- Any Supplemental Class (Lyrical/Hip Hop/Acro)à $40 deposit per class
- Level 1B- Level 6+7à$40 per class/per costume/per dancer
- Students registered in 5 or more classes à$225.00 per dancer maximum deposit
- Male students are only required one $40 deposit per class and $20 per each additional class
Reminder: Tumble & Bounce is a non-recital class and no costume is required.
Shoes selection information per genre: pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes (oxford for levels 2 and up, Intro – Level 1 Mary Jane style Tap Shoes), tan jazz Bloch booties, footies, and sneakers.
Costumes range between $65-$95 each depending on level, class, & whether the costume is able to be used for multiple classess.

Winter Performance Overview
We are preparing for 2025 “Sleeping Beauty” Winter Showcase on December 20, 2025. We will be having 2 shows, a 1:00 Matinee program & 4:00 evening program. Both programs will be taking place at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center. There will be a dress rehearsal on December 19 for Level 3 Dancers and up. The costuming for the showcase will be DIY as well as items from the DEAC Costume and Accessories Closet; base is usually a black leotard & tights for all classes except Hip Hop.
Participating Classes Include:
Ballet 1B, Ballet 2, Ballet 3, Ballet 4, Ballet 5, & Ballet 6+7
Intro To Dance Tues and Intro To Dance Thursday
Pre Dance Tues 4:35, Tues 6:20, and Wed 4:35
Level 1A
Hip Hop 1, Hip Hop 2, & Hip Hop 3
Jazz 4+5 and Jazz 6+7
In depth details for the Winter Showcase will be sent in a separate email at the end of October. Some of our classes will only participate in 1 of the showcases & that divide will be detailed in the upcoming info. Ticket Sales will begin on Dec 1, 2025.
