THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • DRESS REHEARSAL IS HELD AT THE GREATER PITTSBURGH MASONIC CENTER.
  • DANCERS MUST ARRIVE IN COSTUME FOR DRESS REHEARSAL AND RECITAL.
  • ALL ITEMS MUST BE LABELED WITH DANCER NAME INCLUDING SHOES, BAGS, AND COSTUMES.
  • DANCERS DO NOT STAY AT THE THEATER BETWEEN SHOWS.  DANCERS AND FAMILIES MUST EXIT THE BUILDING SO THAT WE CAN RESET OUR BACKSTAGE AREA UNLESS OTHERWISE DISCUSSED.
  • NON-DEAC TEAM AND VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT PERMITTED BACKSTAGE.
  • HAIR AND MAKE UP SHOULD BE DONE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.

    ALL CLASSES-Pre Dance and UP–Low Pony and Center Part
    SWAN LAKE DANCERS Ballet 3C-6+7 – center part low bun
    Intro to Dance Students – hair may be half up/half down; we just ask that BANGS are PINNED AWAY FROM THE FACE – we want to see those bright eyes and smiling faces!

There will be NO regularly scheduled CLASSES on JUNE 15-17TH. ONLY DRESS REHEARSALS & THE SHOWCASES.

4:30 PM: Arrival Time – Level 4-7& Company Students

4:45 PM: Arrival Time – Level 1, 2, 3

5:00 PM: Arrival Time – Intro to Dance & Pre Dance levels

6:15 PM: Dismissal of Intro to Dance Classes ONLY

8:00 PM: Dismissal of All Students

DRESS REHEARSAL FRIDAY, JUNE 16 TH 2:30-5:30 and 5:30-6:15

ALL STUDENTS MUST ARRIVE IN 1ST COSTUME.

2:15 PM: Arrival Time – Swan Lake & Company Students and Level 7

2:30 PM: Arrival Time – Level 3E, 4E, 2, and 1

5:00-5:15 PM- DISMISSAL

5:15 PM: Arrival Time – Intro to Dance & Pre Dance Levels

6:15 PM: Dismissal

*It is imperative that students participate in all dress rehearsals especially those that are performing in both shows. Students will be practicing IN SHOW ORDER except for the Intro to Dance  and Pre Dance classes. This is to ensure that students are comfortable with the stage, costume changes, entrances and exits and all backstage protocol. We appreciate your cooperation.

 

SHOWDAY EVENTS SCHEDULE on JUNE 17th 

  • 12:00 PM: DEAC Company Dancers Arrive 
  • 12:15 PM: ALL Dancers in Show 1 Arrive
         – Theater doors open to public
  • 12:30-3:15 Show 1 (Intermission included)
  • 4:30 PM: DEAC Company Dancer Call Time
  • 4:45 PM: All Dancers in Show 2 Arrive
  • 4:45 PM: Theater Doors open to the pubic
  • 5:00-8:10: Show 2 (Intermission included approximately)

 

SHOW DISMISSAL REMINDER

Following each program, DEAC team will escort dancer back to the dressing room.  Dancers will collect their belongings and be escorted back to the stage.    At this time point we will be asking non-essential guests to exit to the lobby and for only parents or guardians to wait in the theater for their dancer.  We will be announcing classes and one parent or guardian should approach the stage when your child’s class has been announced.

Additional tickets will be sold at the door only for $20 each.

 

The studio will be closed June 18th-26th following the performance
